Why does delivery of custom J.R Furlong products require 4 or even 5 weeks time?

Our custom blazers are crafted on an individual basis for you. It is not until you place your order that we even cut fabric for your blazer.

Your jacket is constructed from scratch as a solitary piece, with unmatched attention in a fine-tuned, step-by-step process that begins with the most advanced pattern and cutting technology before being turned over to our master tailors who apply their time-honored crafting methods.

We believe in spending adequate time with each individual jacket to ensure our superior standards suit you well.

The price of J.R. Furlong goods seem to be at a premium, why is this so?

Plain and simple: we produce luxury goods.

Our custom garments are special and in a premier class. We do not cut corners and our process is thorough. We also proudly manufacture in the United States.

The short of it is: we have no pricing window, MSRP, or semi-annual sale with ridiculous price reductions. We sell world-class goods and approach our business purposefully at prevailing market prices to provide you the greatest value by utilizing the best fabrics and tailors in the world, and the branded customer service experience to match.

How are J.R. Furlong blazers intended to be sported?

We have designed jackets that are dynamic. Most patterns can be dressed up or down, for any occasion. We know you are involved in more than just equestrian activity, and that is the beauty of the collection.

We have blazers that are outfitted for specialized activity such as riding or shooting, as well as more general everyday activities such as dining or attending a polo match or thoroughbred race. We have constructed dynamic jackets acceptable for your active lifestyle.

What is your policy if my J.R. Furlong blazer does not fit?

If you provide accurate measurements, your blazer will fit, and fit handsomely. We utilize sophisticated pattern and cutting technology, which enables us to build and craft your blazer to the accurate spec from the cutting table. All orders are inspected thoroughly for quality and spec prior to shipment.

We will proactively and happily address any concern you might encounter, however please understand the fitted nature of custom garments before ordering. Our customer service policy addresses this matter further. Please see the subsequent question and answer regarding alterations.

What if I need an alteration or I have an issue with the fit of my blazer?

We understand that your blazer may arrive and require a minor alteration. In an effort to account for this we have reduced our prices by $50 on all blazers to allow you to visit a tailor if need be. If your garment arrives in perfect fitting condition, our mission was completed, we are pleased you have saved some money, and we hope you are so delighted that you come back and purchase another garment from us!
